Dear Allan,
my name is Johannes Luebbers and i am a music student in year 12 at Blackburn High School in Victoria. I play the piano, both classical and jazz, learning with Steve Sedergreen and Sandra Aleksejeva. I intend to study composition at uni next year, at either Melbourne or the VCA hopefully, and i was wondering if you intend to run the Classical/Jazz Fusion award again in 2003, as i would be extremely interested in entering.
i have been writing for the past 2 years, mainly piano works and songs, and this year i was accepted into the Young Composers Program, run by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and taught by Stuart Greenbaum. The MSO will workshop and record a composition of mine in December of this year as a part of this program.
As I said, i would be very interested in entering your "fusion" award if you were to run it in 2003, so i hope you do.
