"GOOD VIBRATIONS" CONCERTATO COMPOSED FOR ORCHESTRA (30 MAY 2015)
World Premiere performed by the Queensland Youth Orchestra, Conductor John Curro AM MBE. Passion certainly pulsed in Zavod's "Good Vibrations" that opened the concert. With its fusion of classical and jazz elements, it challenged the players to the max. Under conductor John Curro every section of the orchestra held its position in a taut, unified ensemble, rhapsodic strings alternating with brass and percussion players, making the most of the jazz-driven statements.

BRUNSWICK 2013 BEETHOVEN FESTIVAL (20 Feb, 2013)
I am introducing something new that I have had cooking for some time: the premiere of 'The Australian Concert Trio' (ACT).
My trio of eclectic musicians: Piano - Allan Zavod; Bassist - Jeremy Alsop (ex Herbie Hancock); and Virtuoso Violinist - Tamil Rogeon (whose influence is Jean Luc Ponty with whom I played for 8 years).
We will feature works that I composed for Sting's Beyond the Labyrinth Australian tour 3 years ago when my band Zavod, Berlin, Grigoryan opened for this world renowned artist nationally. (We even outsold Sting's CD's at the Sydney Opera House.)
This new unique group will add a classical/jazz flavour to this celebrated Brunswick Beethoven Festival. And yes I will also be performing some Beethoven as well as Berlin, Gershwin and my own original works.
